“Big idea” essays; war and online journalism

Two “big idea” essays today:

My interview with Kelly Goto is now up at Digital Web. We talked about what one of business’ favourite initialism, ROI, means to Web developers and Kelly offered some great insight.

News organizations are almost as revved up about a war as the U.S. government is. For this Gulf War, the pundits are already claiming the broadband Web will be what CNN was for the last one. Wired News (via Reuters) offers a basic overview of what online war journalism will be like, and the OJR has started a column offering in-depth pieces on the same.
