I think it was the dot-coms; once those IPO-bound companies started capturing the media’s attention, Internet2 faded to the background. Webmonkey, though, pulls it front and centre in an excellent four-page summary of the network and the technology behind it.

Following in the footsteps of All The Web (and perhaps making up for a missed oppurtunity), HotBot is running a CSS-based, skin-the-site contest.

Just heard another tech-related magazine is closing its doors so if anyone has a need for a talented, hard-working writer/editor/Web guy let me know, and I’ll pass on any opportunities to him. While I’m asking, if anyone knows of a need for online editors, let me know, too — a number of colleagues are still looking for work.
