Living Can Kill You

Buzz.ca

Missed the big picture of Buzz.ca completely when a former colleague of mine pointed out the Chrétienizer late last year.

Ironically, the site, which is about Canadian news, is suffering exactly because there are no real Canadian equivalents to Wired News or News.com. Because of that, I was more aware of the U.S.-based, Slahdot-powered Plastic than the older Canadian-based, Slashdot-powered Buzz.ca.

Although the traffic is much lighter on Buzz.ca, the site offers the same Slashdot-like interface, but with a Canadian slant. Topics range from Stockwell Day and Jean Chrétien to Toronto and Those Crazy Americans (granted, to some Canadians these are practically one and the same). Also, using the descendant of push-technology, you can get the latest headlines from The Globe and Mail to NoLogo.org.

I encourage you to check it out, after all with these community sites, the more active users, the better.
